L'opera Patisserie et Cafe

the pastries in this cafe are very elegant and beautiful. And the taste is just divine. I was surprised how reasonable the prices are and my friend and I were in seventh heaven once we tasted our respective pastries. I would highly recommend trying every one of the pastries on the menu - I know I plan to.

I was walking to finch station from sheppard ave. when i saw this lovely place. The desserts are elegant and tasteful at a reasonable price. The place looks wonderful with a relaxing feel. The stickers arent that great looking, but what can you say for a small business. Anybody reading this should really try this place out.

i go to L'Opera once a week and i bring my girlfriend all the time and she loves it there. The coffee is always fresh. L'Opera is for those who are tired of going to Tim Hortons. And by the way there is free internet too but u gotta ask !!

I hope the owners are reading these reviews.
Recently they just added an image of a coffee cup next to their L'Opera signage, and added white descrptions of their offerings on the glass window...they just ruined the classy look! I guess they just want to drum up business and let people know that they are a French Cafe.
I have seen other Patisseries while driving down the road and you know what they are offering just by a glance...the interiors are normally bright and warm, thus offer an inviting feel (for eg, Sebastien Patisserie on Yonge and Lawrence). But sadly not the case for L'opera. When you look from outside, it looks like a bar lounge.
L'opera's espresso is surprisingly decent, their mousse cakes are ok, but they need to take a different approach in terms of the ambience and look of the interior.
I really want to see the empty chairs filled up, as it is a waste to see such a business fail in the neighborhood. All the best! But please don't add any more descriptions on your glass window! Looks so tacky...

I just dropped by the cafe! Had a take-out of 6 different cakes with espresso! The cakes were exquisite and delightful. Friendly service, the interior designs are classy with great jazz music. By far, this is the best dessert place I've had in Toronto!

The desserts are amazing! It comes in a perfect portion. Its the best place to bring a date or friends for a chat! Great coffee... My favorite dessert so far is the Royal Chocolate and Opera!

Desserts are great it would be even better if they add more varities.
