I think it is fair as I go just because it is cheap and worth the money. I didn't know they keep on charging the old GST rate. They should be told that.

Also, I think their hygeine is not that great either and I think they don't care about it either. Just watch the chef as they make their rolls and see the hygeine for yourself.

dirty, very poor service
the chef and the other chef was smoking outside when i went in.
they didn't even bother to wash their hands
and of course they said their debit machine is broken..

Wow! this place is incredible! tony and yong are an amazing couple able to open long hrs 7days/week! the food is incredible. What makes this place really good is the rice they use.

True, its a cash place, who does not prefer cash?

Sushi Bong is the best take-out sushi place in Toronto. With very reasonable prices, and food quality that far exceeds its price bracket, this place is a hidden gem amongst numerous eateries around that area.

With a comfortable atmosphere, it is a welcoming place to people of all cultures and backgrounds. The experience can be an authentic sushi experience, or a good place to simply enjoy the sushi without it being dressed in culture.

Rude?????? Are you insane??? The Bong family is amazing to everyone. Just take a look at how many close friends they've made and how everyone acts towards them when they're there.
I've never heard one complaint before in my life. Tony and his wife have taken a total of 4 days off in the 4+ years that they've been there.
They are an example of the perfect immigrant family that have come to Canada, worked very hard and make a good product.

The arbitrarily add tip top the bill and then kick you out of their store at their own will. I agree with the comment below that they should be audited. Not only because they still charge 15% tax but because they also take it all in cash and frequently make up excuses that their debit machine is broken
Screw this place. There are hundreds of other great sushi places that you can go to with better food and better service.

The service is mediocre. The problem is they still charge you 15%(7%GST+8%PST) tax instead of 14%(6%GST+8%PST). I think the government needs to do an audit on their sales. It's not the best place to eat sushi there are better ones near the area.

The atmosphere is a little crowded, so I would really recommend take-out if you have more than a few people with you, especially during busy times, but I can honestly say this is the best sushi I have ever had, and priced extremely reasonably. The owners are very friendly and the service is good.

The Bong family is amazing. They treat you like family and are very generous. The restaurant is small but you can also do take-out. The portions are huge and the price is also great.
